Travel to St Ives to see the arrival of Santa – The Cornish way! Gather on the West Pier and keep your eyes peeled for Santa arriving on a very special mode of transport, the RNLI Lifeboat.
Before Santa arrives, you will be treated to festive tunes from a local choir to get you in the Christmas spirit! The lifeboat is typically launched between 6 and 6.30pm with Santa waving at the crowds accompanied by the Lifeboat crew.
Once Santa arrives on land you can follow him on his sleigh around St Ives cobbled streets. Make your way through The Wharf and on to the High Street before arriving at Royal Square.
The grand Christmas light switch on usually takes place between 7 and 7.30pm. Join in the countdown to see St Ives Christmas tree illuminated in front of the crowd!
Hot chocolate, mulled wine and other festive treats will be available at Café Art. The St Ives Concert Band will also be at this popular family friendly event.
